"Norfolk Academy has left a lasting impact on me through helping to build my character. First grade characteristics such as enthusiasm, empathy, and kindness have been constantly instilled in me, and for that I am extremely grateful."

Inspirational Teacher Coach
Ms. Hobbs has constantly been a great support system throughout my years in the Upper School. She has been my advisor, teacher, and college counselor. Her kind and warm spirit always reminds me how simply being encouraging, optimistic, friendly, and welcoming can go a long way.
Looking Back
Since the first day of fourth grade, Mrs. Simone instilled in us the importance of having “girl power.” 4GB was more like a family rather than a class because that powerful concept of female empowerment brought us closer together, and it was evident that Mrs. Simone cared for each and every one of her students.
Looking Ahead
I am highly interested in pursuing a pre-med track in college because of the wonderful opportunities I have had to shadow numerous physicians through the Norfolk Academy Medical Scholars Program. This program reinforced my interest in medicine by allowing me to have a better insight into the various fields in medicine.

Making My Mark
One way I believe I have left an impact on Norfolk Academy is by taking the knowledge and skills I have learned through the Peer Counselor Program and using them to help peers and friends in various grades.
The thing that most makes me a Bulldog is…my desire to continuously learn and improve in all aspects of my life.
