Summer 2018 Exploration: Students and Faculty Travel to Learn and Serve Others

Norfolk Academy students and faculty were on the move during Summer 2018, many with passports in hand, as they learned through an array of experiences created by Norfolk Academy International Programs and the Batten Leadership Program.

140 students and 22 faculty members participated in journeys to learn, often by offering service to communities in need; 26 of these students participated in two programs, and one student did three of them. Eight faculty members helped lead two programs; one did three; and one extremely hardy faculty member (Ms. Catherine McCallum) helped lead (an astonishing) four programs!

All in all, Norfolk Academy had students and faculty on school-sponsored trips for all but five days over the summer.
