US Lacrosse Awards Members of the Boys' Varsity Lacrosse Team

US Lacrosse recently announced the 2018 Boys High School Awards, and Norfolk Academy received many accolades. Three categories constitute the annual awards: All-American, Coach of the Year, and the Bob Scott Award.

The Bob Scott Award is named after the longtime coach and athletic director at Johns Hopkins University. He was one of the sport's true champions, both off and on the field. The award recognizes a player in each region who goes above and beyond in service to his team, school, and community. This player exemplifies the fundamentals of lacrosse, works hard to improve his game, and is a leader both on and off the field.

Members of the Norfolk Academy Lacrosse team were judged from the Virginia-Private School region, and received awards in all three categories. Award winners include:

  • All-American: Christian Randolph '18 and Chase Yager '18
  • Coach of the Year: Tom Duquette
  • Bob Scott Award: Chase Yager
Congratulations to Christian, Chase, and Coach Duquette!
