Dean Williams '26 Awarded First Place in Book Review Contest
The 2018 Friends of the Norfolk Public Library (FNPL) held its annual Book Review Contest last week. Open to students in 4th - 12th grade in Norfolk public and private school, as well as homeschooled students, the contest received over 1,700 entries last year. This year, Norfolk Academy fourth grader Dean Williams '26 was recognized for winning first place in the fourth grade category. According to the FNPL Book Review Contest webpage, entires had to include an examination of the plot, settings, characters, themes, or style of the book and could not exceed 500 words. Students were asked to select a book - from any genre - that they enjoyed, and answer if they would recommend the book to others.
Dean was presented with this first place honor during a recognition ceremony. Congratulations, Dean!
