How long have you been at Norfolk Academy?
I have been at Norfolk Academy for 17 years.

Tell us why you wanted to become an educator:
I had some wonderful adults who invested in me as a high school student, and I wanted to try to emulate their influence on me in the lives of others.

What most excites you about working at Norfolk Academy?
NA is the most concentrated group of compassionate, professional educators, highly-motivated future leaders, and supportive families that one could imagine.

Norfolk Academy is unique because…
...it has been in existence since 1728.

Last book read:
Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen

What do you like to do in your own time/when you’re not working?
Camping with family and friends, hiking, and biking...anything outdoors!

Favorite food?
Mrs. Fowler’s white chicken chili

A movie is being made about your life. Who would they cast to play you?
I would need a serious upgrade in order to get anyone to watch...how about (Middle School teacher) Ryan Tucker?

Fun fact your students might not know about you/might find surprising:
After not making my college football team, I joined the marching band (French horn).

“When I grow up, I want to be…”
...a head groundskeeper in Major League Baseball.
