This is my eighth year at Norfolk Academy.

Tell us why you wanted to become an educator:
I thoroughly enjoy getting to know people and feeding off of their energy. Teaching and coaching allow me to do both. It is great to have a career where I am excited to come to work each day.

What most excites you about working at Norfolk Academy?
The people - from students and parents to support staff, teachers, and coaches, etc. This place is made up of really great people!

Norfolk Academy is unique because…
…of the sense of community. Norfolk Academy is really a place of unrestricted growth and trust.

I’m almost done with Let My People Go Surfing by Yvon Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia.

Meatloaf or steak.

A movie is being made about your life. Who would they cast to play you?
Easy answer, it’s Tom Cruise. Only one of the greatest actors of all time. He also has impeccable running form on the big screen.

Fun fact your students might not know about you/might find surprising:
I once visited two zoos in one day.

“When I grow up, I want to be…”
