How long have you been at Norfolk Academy?
This is my third year at Norfolk Academy.

Tell us why you wanted to become an educator:
Both of my parents are teacher-coaches. My mom has coached the Johns Hopkins Women’s Lacrosse team for my entire life, and my dad has worked in some capacity as a teacher-coach at various schools around Baltimore. I am inspired by both of them and always wanted to follow in their footsteps.

What most excites you about working at Norfolk Academy?
Norfolk Academy has so many special qualities that make it great. I would say the two things that excite me the most about working here are how supportive everyone is and the kind, well-rounded, and bright kids.

Norfolk Academy is unique because…
...it offers so many different avenues to explore and paths to pursue, coupled with a support staff that will strive to allow you to succeed in your endeavor, whether that be as a student, athlete, thespian, etc.

Last book read:
Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen

What do you like to do in your own time/when you’re not working?
I love to cook, read, play chess & other board games, and surf.

Favorite food?
Chicken Parmesan

A movie is being made about your life. Who would they cast to play you?
I am a huge Will Ferrell fan and would be honored if he played me in a movie!

Fun fact your students might not know about you/might find surprising:
I love video games and used to play them way too much. I enjoy playing with friends and my brother, Devin, who is a year younger than me.

“When I grow up, I want to be…”
...an influential teacher and coach who has helped as many kids as possible learn life lessons through sports and academics, ultimately leading to the success of my students and players as well-rounded individuals who help others.
