The company leverages the strength of community to enhance the lives of older adults and their family caregivers. Naborforce was selected for the TechStars 2020 Future of Longevity cohort. Naborforce recently expanded to serve Virginia Beach! I’m excited to bring our solution to my hometown.
Describe a bit more about your role: At Naborforce, I’m fortunate to serve as the right-hand woman to the CEO, Paige Wilson. In my role, I get to touch almost every aspect of the business – strategy, finance, technology, operations, marketing, growth…the list goes on! No two days are the same, and I feel lucky to have a job where I use my MBA every day and work alongside an all-star team to address an important problem.
What do you like to do in your own time/when you’re not working? Reading, running, yoga, and spending time with my husband, Tyler, our two Golden Retrievers, and our newborn son, James!
How did your experience at Norfolk Academy prepare you for what you are doing today? Any favorite memories or teachers that had a big impact on you? My experience at Norfolk Academy thoroughly prepared me for all my academic endeavors, and I have always felt like I had a leg up on my peers in handling strenuous workloads. Additionally, Academy’s emphasis on building well-rounded individuals was helpful as I prepared to enter a general-management-focused MBA program and has assisted me in my broad and ever-changing role at Naborforce! Of course, I must mention that Academy also connected me to Haley. I don’t know what we’d do without her at Naborforce!

How did your experience at Norfolk Academy prepare you for what you are doing today? Any favorite memories or teachers that had a big impact on you? My love for Norfolk Academy and appreciation of the education I received has grown since graduation. When I was in college, I realized I was well prepared for the independence, as well as getting to know professors and naturally wanting to be engaged in class. Coming from such a tight-knit community inspired me to get involved in various activities to make a large school seem smaller. The emphasis on public speaking has paid dividends when elected to leadership positions and presenting in school and at work. I was incredibly lucky to have excellent teachers from 4th grade until senior year, but I really miss Dr. Rezelman’s class and often think about how exciting it would be to take US History and IR again during the past few years. Also, as Kelly said, it brought me to Naborforce! The lasting connections Norfolk Academy has provided are something special!
If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be? My paternal great-grandparents, Murrey and Mabel Royar (my middle name) who met and married in Vladivostok, Siberia, lived in DC, and later owned a working cattle farm before retiring in Alexandria, VA.
