Norfolk Academy's College Counseling team works throughout the year to prepare students for the college admissions process and help them find the best school for them.

On Sunday, December 3, the office hosted a workshop for juniors in the Class of 2025 and their parents, that focused on college searches. The event included a general presentation and panel discussion with a group of distinguished admission professionals from George Mason University; Emory University; Vanderbilt University; Syracuse University; and Rhodes College.

The next day at school, juniors took part in an additional workshop with interactive discussions with the college guests and practical introductions of several important college admission tools.

Shortly after Holiday Break, the College Counseling team will begin initial conferences with juniors and their parents. In addition, the team will offer events for parents throughout the spring semester that explore the college admissions process more thoroughly.  These small discussion forums are designed for the parents of freshmen and sophomores, to introduce them to the team and the work ahead. These seven, identical, on-campus events will take place January 24; February 14; February 21; March 13; March 27; April 10; and April 24. Registration will begin January 8.
