Work by Student Artists Exhibited at State Art Association Conference

Several young artists from the Upper School had their work displayed in an exhibit of student work at the Virginia Art Education Association (VAEA) Statewide Conference.

The conference was held October 14-16 at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. The artwork on display was completed in Studio Art classes led by Upper School Art Teacher Betsy DiJulio. The two-dimensional drawings, paintings, prints, collage, and cut paper work largely encompassed examples from each student's Advanced Placement Extended Investigation.  Themes ranged from Asian stereotypes and other explorations of identity to eco-issues, emotional states, and more.
