Welcome Sarah Daye! Ms. Daye joins the NA family as a math teacher in both Middle and Upper School and will coach in the girls basketball program. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Math Education from Miami University in Ohio and moved to Hampton Roads shortly after to teach at Cape Henry Collegiate. During her time there, she taught Honors Algebra II and Precalculus in the Upper School, served as an academic advisor, and coached Middle School Girls Basketball, JV Girls Basketball, and Co-Ed Track and Field.

Why did you want to become a teacher?
I became a teacher because I enjoy helping students see the beauty and logic in math. 

What excites you about Norfolk Academy?
Norfolk Academy is a place where curiosity is encouraged, character is valued, and professional growth is supported, and those are just a few of the reasons that drew me here. 

What's one fun fact about you students might find interesting?
One fun fact about me is that my dad and I share the same birthday, and so do my mom and brother! Two shared birthdays in one family!
