Middle School student Caroline '30 earned a feature this week on WAVY-TV for a community service project she has been happily working on for years.

Caroline runs a “Barkery" in which she bakes homemade dog treats, then sells them, with the profits supporting the Virginia Beach SPCA.

It takes time to bake hundreds of dog treats, but Caroline told WAVY it’s worth it. She has contributed more than $6,100 worth of items for animals of the SPCA.

“It feels really good," she said. “It feels like I’m making a difference on the community and impacting the animals that don’t have as much as ones that are adopted."
