McGee

Congratulations to Peyton McGee '25, who the Virginian-Pilot named its girls volleyball Player of the Year for the 2024 season!

McGee, who will continue her playing career at Bucknell University, helped the Bulldogs go 22-5, with a TCIS championship. She was a two-time TCIS Player of the Year and a VISAA Division I all-state first-team selection, as the Pilot noted.

In 2024, she recorded 304 kills, 97 aces, 42 blocks, 183 digs, and 278 assists. In her career she recorded more than 1,000 kills, 880 digs, 647 assists, and 292 aces.

“Peyton brings her big heart to the game,” said Trish Hopkins, NA teacher and volleyball coach. “While she loves the sport and she loves competition, she loves the idea of team even more — the idea of working together to create something better and stronger than a single part.”

McGee is the not only Bulldog to gain accolades from the Pilot. Bela Cancado '25 and Kinsley Flores '27 were honorable mentions on the volleyball team.

Mia Clarkson '25, Cooper Cutchins '25, and Joji Purdy '25 all made the Pilot's first-team field hockey squad. Mia Jones '27 made second team.

The Pilot will announce its other all-Tidewater teams soon.
