In announcing the annual award, Tunstall Student Council President Kiran Folck said, "Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do to support and build up the Norfolk Academy community that we all live and learn in today!"

The Tunstall Charter Day Teaching Award is presented by the Tunstall Student Council to a faculty member of at least three years within the division who has commanded the respect of colleagues and pupils alike through a commitment to excellence in teaching and extracurricular activities, knowledge in his or her field, the ability to convey this knowledge, and a willingness to help, advise, and create a trustworthy environment for students.
