Two Students Co-Curate Opening Perrel Art Gallery Exhibit

The opening Perrel Gallery exhibit in this Year of Inquiry is unique: Livi Kohler '27 and Sienna Watson '27 joined with Art Teacher Betsy DiJulio to curate the artwork.

DOVETAIL: Foraging for Connections between Process and Product opened on the first day of classes, August 26. The exhibit will remain open for one month. On September 17, a free public reception in the gallery will include artists' remarks. That begins at 5:30 PM.

This exhibit places more emphasis on process than finished work, and uses the subject matter of birds. It includes sketches, sketchbooks, preparatory drawings, materials, and visual sources as a peek inside the inquiring minds of three artists: Donna Iona Drozda, Andy Harris, and Spencer Tinkham.

Livi is a Global Affairs Fellow. Sienna is a Chesapeake Bay Fellow.

This exhibit is open throughout the school day for all students and classes. There are even two interactive stations to pique interest.

Parents, grandparents, and other members of the Bulldog family are welcome to stop in during the September 17 reception or any other afternoon when gallery doors are open.
