Norfolk Academy Graduation takes time each year to honor excellence in teaching.
At the Graduation of the Class of 2026, Waitzer awards, presented to veteran teachers, were given to Garrett Bird (Upper School Physics/Engineering/Chesapeake Bay Fellows), Susie Coker (Middle School Science), and Heidi Pollio (Lower School Latin).
Recipients of the Massey Award, for teachers who have been at Norfolk Academy for no more than six years, were Abbey Carrezola (Fourth grade, Lower School), Emma Chandler (Upper School Math), and Carter Furr (Middle School History).
Paul Carrezola, Director of Athletic Performance and a Middle School physical education teacher, won the Excellence in Coaching honor.
