TCIS

Norfolk Academy really brought home the gold over the weekend, with three teams collecting TCIS championships.

Wrestling, boys swimming and girls swimming all won team titles Saturday. In addition, several student-athletes won individual titles.

In girls swimming, Kayla Wilson '22 won the 500-yard freestyle in 5 minutes, 8.87 seconds to set a TCIS record. She also won the 200-yard individual medley. Marin McKee '22 won the 50 and 100 freestyles. 

In boys swimming, Clayton Whetstine '22 won the 200 freestyle and the 100 backstroke. 

In wrestling, Trey Custodio '22 won at 113 pounds; Maguire McMahon '20 won at 126; Ethan Thurmond '20 won at 138; Tyler O’Boyle '21 won at 220; and Max Pollio '21 won at 285.

 

Varsity wrestling won the 2020 TCIS tournament championship on February 8.
