Combined, that's 27 student-athletes from the Class of 2025 who will compete in college, a record, said Director of Athletics Chad Byler.

During the ceremony in Landmark, Byler noted that the student-athletes did not reach this point on their own. They have parents, friends, coaches, teachers, and other loved ones to thank.

"They have put in hours and hours to help you get to this point today," Byler said.

College Counselor Steve Monninger, who also is Director of Fitness, Strength, and Conditioning, and coach of the football team, serves as a bridge between the college counseling and athletics departments. He reminded the student-athletes of all they've accomplished and the work they'll need to put in at the next level.

“Rely on the values of work ethic, grit, and mental toughness that you've already demonstrated here at Norfolk Academy," he said.
