Cum Laude

Several members of the Class of 2020 were inducted into the Cum Laude Society for their high level of academic achievement. The announcement of the new members was made by Cum Laude President Sahib Chandi, who spoke at the conclusion of Senior Speeches on Tuesday.

Membership in Cum Laude is decided on a percentage basis, comprising those who are in top 20 percent of the senior class based on grades earned from ninth grade onward.

The first 10% are inducted after the third marking period of the junior year, and the additional 10% are inducted after the third marking period of the senior year.

New members of the Cum Laude Society are as follows:

Luke Ashton, Mary Grace Bangley, Katherine Chang, Audrey Neumann, Katie Post, Elaina Tenfelde, Connor Tiffany, Shrey Vachhani, Ben Walling, Andi Yuan, and Ali Zaidi.

Seniors who were previously inducted into the Cum Laude Society: Chandi, Danielle Doss, Julia Duarte, Jarod Haley, JR Herman, Courtney Kilduff, Kyle Mele, Sean Miller, Audrey Peck, William Smythe, Kerri Thornton, and Nathan Vu.

And, as the year speeds to a conclusion, members of the Class of 2021 who have qualified for induction into the society will be announced on May 21 at the Tunstall Awards Ceremony...on Zoom, of course!

Congratulations to all of those in the Class of 2020 who have achieved this distinction!
