Congratulations to Zoë Jones '24, whom the U.S. Department of Education has chosen as a candidate for selection as a U.S. Presidential Scholar.
Fewer than 100 high school seniors in all of Virginia - and only a few thousand in the entire nation - received this honor, which is based on test scores from national exams.
An independent committee will choose about 500 semifinalists from across the nation in the spring, with the Commission on Presidential Scholars then choosing those honored as Presidential Scholars.
Zoë was also recently named a National Merit Scholarship finalist. She's also involved in many extracurricular activities: She has played the piano, been in the orchestra, and performed in theater productions throughout Upper School; has been in the CARE, Robotics, Outreach, UNITiD, and PRISM clubs; helped NA's TEAMS competition earn state honors; and has served as a tutor. She has also competed on the crew team.
