Seniors received valuable finance lessons on Friday, March 21, thanks to three experts in the field.

Ian Holder '03, a Norfolk Academy Trustee and Managing Director at Cary Street Partners, led a session on financial literacy, teaching terms students will need to know. Merrick Michaels McCabe '98, NA Alumni Board President and a Senior Vice President at TowneBank, taught about banking and credit card responsibility. Dr. Kimberly Ferguson, who has taught finances and now is a coordinator for Chesapeake Public Schools' Career and Technical Education Center, had everyone moving around as they considered how to balance their budgets.

This symposium was the start of a new program providing seniors with tools that'll be important once they branch out to college and the working world. Leo Tang '25 and Fletcher Creech '25, Co-Presidents of the school Fiscal Affairs Club, introduced the speakers and helped lead the event.
