Throughout the school year, second grade students meet their sixth grade buddies for fellowship and fun. Students in both grades enjoy this time, bonding and learning.
On April 9, this collaboration added in Upper School students for a science lesson that piqued everyone's interest.
Back in February, second graders participated in a project in which they counted the number of different bird species they could find in their yard over a period of days. When they joined with their older buddies, they went over their findings and recorded them on a laptop. They also researched the many different bird species around the world.
The Outdoors Club came over from the Upper School to help and answer any questions. For instance, when students asked about birds common in certain countries, they used a globe to show where those countries are located.
All part of an informative and educational afternoon. Check out the photos for more!
