Congratulations to Rohith K. '28, who for the third straight year is our school Spelling Bee champion!
Rohith needed 18 rounds to finally top an outstanding group. His winning word? Incited.
James W. '28 earned second place. Olivia C. '30 earned third.
All 11 of the competitors handled the pressure well and showed great sportsmanship. They combined to spell more than 70 words correctly. Their performance incited (in a positive way) enthusiastic applause.
Rohith advanced last year all the way to the Scripps National Spelling Bee, which is held in the spring. To do so again this year he will need to win the regional WHRO Bee in February.
