Peter Agelasto '58 Earns Media Acclaim For Community Service

Peter Agelasto '58 earned media recognition on New Year's Day for his wide variety of community outreach efforts.

The Daily Progress, a newspaper that covers parts of central Virginia, published a profile of Mr. Agelasto. "Over the past four decades he’s continuously served the communities in which he’s lived," the article says. 

Among his efforts, he founded the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation, the article says. After graduating from the University of Virginia's law school he practiced law for 25 years before retiring to pursue other interests in the nonprofit sector, including education, the arts, land conservation, and historic preservation.
