Head of School Travis Larrabee led the opening Lower School Chapel of this year, talking to the young students on September 2 about this year's theme on campus: Purpose.

Purpose can be a big word, Larrabee said, because it's often associated with finding your mission in life, a task that can feel overwhelming. So, he broke it down: Instead, think about “What do I have to offer?" And, going even further, “What do I have to offer today?"

“Use today well," Larrabee said. “Every single one of you has something to offer."

Lower School Director Michelle Alexander reminded the students that some of their lessons in the first week of classes hit on similar thoughts. Students have been showing purpose, through helping new friends in the classroom and spreading joy all around campus.

Keep it going young Bulldogs!

Lower School Chapel is held roughly once a month and covers a wide variety of different topics, reinforcing lessons students learn in the classroom at age-appropriate levels.
