A 2016 graduate, Mr. Wentz is returning to the Norfolk Academy family as an Associate in the Development Office. He also is coaching in the basketball and lacrosse programs.
Mr. Wentz earned his undergraduate degree in history with a Spanish minor from Hampden-Sydney. While in college, he served as the Student Assistant for the Men's Basketball team for one season, and as the Director of Intramural Sports for two years. After graduation, he worked as a business analyst for Bank of America.
Tell us why you wanted to become an educator:
My teachers and coaches were such a positive influence on my life growing up, and I can only hope to provide that same experience for the next generation of student athletes.
What most excites you about working at Norfolk Academy?
I’m most excited about giving back to the community that provided me with so many opportunities. I’m also excited to continue to connect with future and present Norfolk Academy alumni.

What do you like to do in your own time/when you’re not working?
I like to stay active. Whether that is surfing, fishing, playing basketball, or golf. In my down time, I like to plan my future travels.
