Taylor Olsen begins in 2019-20 as a third grade girls teacher. 

Academic background:
B.A., University of Virginia
M. Ed., University of Virginia

Additional experience:
Mrs. Olsen received a graduate certificate from the University of Richmond in the teacher licensure program. She gained elementary school teaching experience in Texas and Virginia before taking time off to raise her children. She designed and taught an education course in a higher education setting and received her reading specialist endorsement from the University of Virginia.

Tell us why you wanted to become an educator:
I love working with kids and want to make a positive impact on their lives.

What most excites you about working at Norfolk Academy?
The people. The faculty, staff, and students all work hard and are genuinely happy to be here.

What do you like to do in your own time/when you’re not working?
I like spending time with my family, being outside, reading, and running.

Ice cream… in the winter. It’s the best!

I once rode a camel in a Taco Bell parking lot.
