Mr. Carrezola joins the Norfolk Academy family in summer 2022, as a strength and conditioning coach. He also will teach physical education in Middle School. A graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in communications, he played tight end for the Scarlet Knights' football team, appearing in more than 50 games - including four postseason bowl games. Following graduation, he participated in minicamp with the NFL's Oakland Raiders.
He began his coaching career at Rutgers, serving as both a professional intern and graduate assistant in the strength and conditioning department. He went on to serve as the athletic transition liaison, strength and conditioning coach, and physical education teacher at New Egypt High School and Central Regional High School in New Jersey. He has also coached football, boys basketball, boys lacrosse, and girls track and field. He earned a master's degree in applied exercise science from Concordia University-Chicago. He is a member of two national strength and conditioning associations, a certified strength and conditioning specialist, a tactical strength and conditioning facilitator, and has a United States Weightlifting Level 1 certification.
Tell us why you wanted to become an educator:
I was fortunate to have multiple teachers/coaches influence me during critical stages of my life. I have always felt a deep responsibility to be a role model for others, especially those entering young adulthood.
What most excites you about working at Norfolk Academy?

What do you like to do in your own time/when you’re not working?
I enjoy spending time with my wife and two boys. We love to get outside!
