Ann Gray

Still in Middle School, Ann Gray '24 is already making a name for herself in music circles, across Hampton Roads and beyond.

Ann Gray has been writing and performing original songs for more than two years, beginning at Norfolk Academy talent shows. Before the worldwide pandemic, she would perform at open mic events.

Even after COVID-19 hit, Ann Gray continued to write and record new music. She has participated in several online music festivals, hosted her own livestreams, and posted recordings of her songs on social media. During the spring, she was one of the many performers in the Norfolk Academy Happy Club's virtual Be Someone Concert, which drew thousands of viewers on school social media pages.

In October, she even performed at a live, virtual open mic event hosted by an establishment in Nashville, Tennessee!

On December 6, the radio program Hunter at Sunrise, which highlights local musicians, featured Ann Gray as its guest. She answered questions from the show host and performed three original songs.
