Medical Scholars Welcome Visiting Physicians

Upper School students with interest in medicine had the opportunity to learn from a dozen physicians on Tuesday, February 3.

Students explored everything from how to suture an orange (no real injuries thankfully) to neurology to pediatrics and beyond. Thanks to all the doctors who volunteered their expertise.

Part of the Batten Leadership Program, Medical Scholars is a physician-monitored, immersive internship initiative established in 2006 for Upper School students to explore healthcare careers. About 60 students participate.

Teacher-coach John Craig helped organize the event, which drew strong attendance from both doctors and students despite being shortened because of a two-hour delay because of weather.
