Scores of excited, aspiring basketball players flowed into Burroughs Gymnasium and the Athletic Pavilion on Saturday, August 22, for the Mark Williams Basketball Camp.
This was the second straight year that Williams has hosted his summer basketball camp at Norfolk Academy. New this year, the camp was run with support from NA Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Eric Acra '84, who coached Williams during his time as a Bulldog. In addition, current Bulldog basketball players served as counselors.
Williams, who attended Norfolk Academy for 11 years and was a standout basketball player, went on to star at Duke University and now plays for the Phoenix Suns. He is entering his fifth season in the NBA.
Williams' camp was open to anyone ages 6-16.
