BLP

Margaret Wilbanks Plemenos '14 returned to campus in October to teach Literacy Fellows, Global Health Fellows, and Global Affairs Fellows about Windle, an international nonprofit that works with refugees, primarily in Africa.

A graduate of Southern Methodist University with a master's degree from King's College London, Wilbanks taught for a few years before moving into nonprofit service. She is the Fundraising and Communications Officer at Windle.

Windle aids more than half a million children by providing educational opportunities.

After her presentation on October 21, students peppered her with questions, about nonprofits, fundraising techniques, life in Africa, and more.

Fellows of the Batten Leadership Program, directed by Jack Gibson '08, study and find ways to solve real-world problems.

Margaret Wilbanks Plemenos '14, with Batten Leadership Program Director Jack Gibson '08, spoke to BLP Fellows on October 21, 2025.
