Love Is In The Air At Seniors' Final Chapel

Head of School Travis Larrabee delivered a farewell Chapel to seniors on May 8 on the theme of love--between family, friends, and between “people who may not say the aloud very often, but who show up for one another, again and again."

Speaking on the seniors' final day of classes, Larrabee wove in one of his favorite songs, “Wish List," by Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, with a series of lyrics about "wanting to be there for someone in every possible way." Noting that love can be expressed through the effort taken on behalf of others, he said the Class of 2026 has “committed to each other in the ways that matter."

Observing a school tradition, Larrabee gave Seniors the chance to share wisdom gained on their journeys with juniors and sophomores, and they took it:

  • “Be as empathetic as possible."
  • “Get to know your teachers!"
  • “You can't be nervous when you're smiling."
  • And parting words: “Hug your friends and tell them you love them."

With that, the Seniors stepped out of their final Chapel to huge applause.
