Katie Post ’20, who has played cello since third grade, has been selected for the Senior Regional Orchestra, a competitive ensemble drawing from students in public and private schools throughout the Hampton Roads region, all of whom must audition to be selected.
Katie is a member of the Norfolk Academy Orchestra, and she is a member of the regional Bay Youth Symphony. She studies cello with Michael Daniels, principal cellist of the Virginia Symphony. This is Katie’s fourth consecutive year in the Senior Regional Orchestra.
The concert for the Senior Regional Orchestra is scheduled for November 9.
This has been an outstanding fall for Katie. She recently was named a Commended Student by the National Merit Scholarship Program, which recognizes exceptional academic promise.
Congratulations, Katie!
