Norfolk Academy is excited to introduce Jack Gibson '08 as the new Director of the Batten Leadership Program!
After graduating from Norfolk Academy as valedictorian in 2008, Mr. Gibson attended Hampden-Sydney College, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in History and a minor in Military Leadership and National Security Studies. He was a member of the Wilson Center for Leadership in the Public Interest and was also elected into the national leadership fraternity, ODK. He also was a four-year member of the lacrosse team and an Academic All-Conference designee.
Mr. Gibson returned to the Academy in 2012, and has been involved in many facets of school life ever since. In addition to serving as an Associate Director of the BLP, he has co-directed the Global Affairs Fellows, taught in both Middle and Upper School, and coached in the football and lacrosse programs.
In 2017, Mr. Gibson completed his master's degree in Science Writing from Johns Hopkins University. He is working toward a Doctor of Education degree from the College of William and Mary.
