Norfolk Academy Spirit Week is October 6-10, a fun week leading up to Homecoming activities October 10-11.
To start things off, Upper School students enjoyed the Homecoming Dance on October 4. Spirit Week will follow with several daily activities building excitement for Homecoming. Among them: Varsity teams lead cheer sessions before classes; students dress down on themed days; and Varsity teams on Friday during school will compete in a Pep Rally.
Spirit Week also is about serving the greater community. Clubs organize donation drives, collecting items for charitable organizations.
The week's schedule:
- Monday: Pajamas Day; Sponsored by Operation Smile. Collecting toothpaste, toothbrushes, and hygiene products.
- Tuesday: Jersey Day; Sponsored by Special Olympics. Collecting athletics gear and equipment.
- Thursday: USA Day; Sponsored by Board Games and Books Club. Collecting used games and books.
- Friday: NA Day; Sponsored by International Relations Club. Collecting cleaning products, diapers, baby wipes, and laundry supplies.
