Global Affairs Fellows offer educational analysis on a wide variety of topics in their Spring 2021 newsletter.
Part of the Batten Leadership Program, Global Affairs Fellows seek to make the world a more peaceful and just place. Through case studies, simulations, independent research, and collaboration with community partners both locally and abroad, students develop a deeper understanding of the conflicts and challenges created by globalization and learn how to craft and communicate their own solutions to complex global problems.
Edited by Sarah Jacobs '22 and Owen Johnson '23, the spring newsletter is 16 pages. The student-written articles address topics including Covid-19 and its impact on the world and United States economy, the China-Taiwan conflict, corporate activism, the Federal Reserve, and Brexit.
