Norfolk Academy Graduation Exercises take time each year to honor excellence in teaching.
At the graduation of the Class of 2025, Waitzer awards, presented to veteran teachers, were given to Warren Warsaw (Upper School French), Caroline Bisi (Musical & Play Director, Middle School Drama), and Madelyn Kresinske (Lower School Librarian).
Recipients of the Massey Award, for teachers who have been at Norfolk Academy for no more than six years, were Sara Henry (3rd grade, Lower School), Rachel Thompson (Upper School Spanish), and Anna Meadows (Choral & Orchestra Director, Middle School Music).
Katie Roberts, a Lower School physical education teacher who is a head coach for Varsity Rowing and an assistant coach for swimming and cross country, won the Excellence in Coaching honor.
