Edith Reynolds White, who served as Norfolk Academy's head librarian from 1961-1983, died this month at the age of 96. She lived an amazing life, working in the women's codebreaking unit of the Navy during WWII, founding a committee that fought to integrate Norfolk schools, and serving as an educator and arts advocate. She also was an artist in Norfolk Academy's Art Show, held annually before Field Day.
