Norfolk Academy's UNITiD Club and Fine Arts Association raised about $1,200 at a concert on Friday night, November 17, to support relief efforts for those impacted by natural disasters in Morocco and Libya.
The money will go to UNICEF USA, which advocates for UNICEF’s worldwide work to support children.
This is far from the only volunteer drive students are leading this holiday season. Among the many other efforts, the entire school is collecting pajamas for the Pajama Jams organization that helps families in need of those clothes; fourth graders are leading a coat collection; Middle School collected canned goods just before Thanksgiving; and Special Olympics Club is leading its traditional Special Olympics holiday gathering.
