For decades, the Norfolk Academy Happy Club has spread joy and raised awareness about Operation Smile, an international medical charity headquartered in Virginia Beach. The nonprofit service performs surgeries for children worldwide with cleft lip and cleft palate.

One of the club's annual events is the Be Someone Concert, where current students let their talents shine and everyone is encouraged to go into the community and “be someone." Upper School students showed off their many fine arts talents on Friday afternoon, November 22, singing, playing instruments, and more in front of a live audience of applauding teachers and classmates. Among the instruments played were bagpipes and the piano. 

Middle School will lead its Be Someone Concert in the spring.
