Danny Hakim '89, N.Y. Times Reporter, on NPR's Fresh Air
Danny Hakim ’89, a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter for the New York Times, is featured on NPR’s Fresh Air with Terry Gross on Wednesday, May 22.
Hakim will be discussing his recent investigative work on the National Rifle Association; he has been investigating conflicts within the NRA's leadership and its lawsuit against its advertising and PR company. A lengthy article, “At the N.R.A., a Cash Machine Sputtering,” published on March 14, included a review of internal documents, tax records, and extensive interviews.
Hakim was one of the lead reporters on a team that won the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News for its coverage of the sex scandal that resulted in the resignation of New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer.
