Brammy Rajakumar '19 Recognized as Finalist in Virginian-Pilot's Scholastic Achievement Program

Brammy Rajakumar ’19 was recognized on Tuesday as one of five scholarship finalists in The Virginian-Pilot’s Scholastic Achievement program.

Brammy, who is also a National Merit Finalist, was one of approximately 70 students from the region’s public and private high schools recognized in the ceremony. Brammy will attend Harvard University in the fall.

Brammy has been active in a wide array of extracurricular activities at Norfolk Academy. She is a Global Affairs Fellow in the Batten Leadership Program; a violinist in the school orchestra and the regional Bay Youth Orchestra; a member of the NA Robotics Team; and a varsity tennis player. In addition to her school activities, Brammy also participates in Indian classical dance, specifically the Bharatanatyam genre, and she is co-captain of the NA dance team.

“Brammy is living testament to our belief in the importance of students’ combining a robust life of the mind with artistic and athletic engagement and accomplishment,” said Headmaster Dennis Manning.  She is a truly well-rounded student, and in that way an exemplar of our school’s philosophy.”
Congratulations, Brammy, and good luck!
