How long have you been at Norfolk Academy?
This is my 11th year at Norfolk Academy.

Tell us why you wanted to become an educator:
I have always loved teaching and connecting with children in an athletic environment. I started teaching swim lessons when I was 15 at the Mt Trashmore YMCA.

What most excites you about working at Norfolk Academy?
The people–for Lower School students, swimming is their favorite part of the day (right behind lunch and recess). My best friends are also my colleagues.

Norfolk Academy is unique because…
...we get to witness the growth and maturity of students from ages 6-18.

What do you like to do in your own time/when you’re not working?
Something on the water

I lived in Guam when I was young and that is where I learned to swim.
