National Novel Writing Month Encourages Young Authors

National Novel Writing Month—better known as NaNoWriMo—is typically an activity reserved for Middle and Upper School students. However, Lower School librarian Madelyn Kresinske announced that several Lower School students wrote novels for the Cooper Library during the challenge. Five second graders completed novels, which are available in the library’s Local Author’s Case:
Christmas is the Bestt by Maggie W. ’29
The Adventures of Food by Asher Heath ’29
Molly's Week by Liza C. ’29
The Candy Witch by Maddie K. ’29
The Adventures of Stick Man by Matthew B. ’29
The students could begin writing on November 1 and had to complete their novels by November 30. Congratulations to our young authors! We are excited to read your next literary work!
