The Lower School Student Council Association (SCA) recently added some new members to its ranks. Following a Lower School Chapel where current SCA president Brooke DiGeronimo '25 spoke about the election process, students in grades 2-6 could volunteer to be a candidate with the hope to serve as a class representative. Elections were held to coincide with a red, white, and blue dress-down day on September 28.
Some of the responsibilities of the class representatives include attending monthly meeting with SCA officers; assisting in the decision-making process surrounding dress-down days and fundraisers; and serving as the communications liaisons between the SCA and their homerooms. Candidates were encouraged to deliver a few sentences explaining why they should be elected.
"I said that I'm a natural leader and I would be good at communicating messages back to my class," said Brock Becker, one of the new class representatives for sixth grade.
Congratulations to the newly-elected class representatives:
Second Grade: Max Griffey, Reese Andrews, Sivaam Thakkar, and Teagan Oswald
