Two NA Musicians Earn Regional Recognition

Katie Post ’20, who has played cello since third grade, has been selected for the Senior Regional Orchestra, a competitive ensemble drawing from students in public and private schools throughout the Hampton Roads region, all of whom must audition in order to be selected.

Katie is a member of the Norfolk Academy Orchestra, and she is a member of the regional Bay Youth Symphony. She studies cello with Michael Daniels, principal cellist of the Virginia Symphony. This is Katie’s third consecutive year in the Senior Regional Orchestra.

Matthew Fisher ’20 was selected as an alternate for the Chamber Orchestra. Matthew, who has played violin since the age of four and currently studies with Megan Van Gomple of the Academy of Music, plays in the Norfolk Academy Orchestra and in the Capriccio Ensemble, an advanced violin ensemble at the Academy of Music.

Congratulations, Bulldog musicians! Bravo!
