How long have you been at Norfolk Academy?
I have been at Norfolk Academy for four years.

Tell us why you wanted to become an educator:
I enjoyed every second of my work with kids. Sharing my passion for math and economics, baseball, football, and basketball, and seeing others’ excitement in these pursuits was deeply gratifying and inspiring.

What most excites you about working at Norfolk Academy?
I most enjoy working with exceptional people in shared purpose in the service of children.

Norfolk Academy is unique because…
…of our shared values and our commitment to each other and to our kids and their families. The trust between teachers, children, and families is truly unique.

Last book read:
Beartown by Fredrik Backman

What do you like to do in your own time/when you’re not working?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. We love the outdoors and traveling, but we also love hunkering down for movie nights.

Favorite food?
Anything by Meriweather Godsey!

A movie is being made about your life. Who would they cast to play you?
Tough one…I prefer to be behind the scenes – Spielberg, Ron Howard?
Fun fact your students might not know about you/might find surprising:
I played a very small and unimportant role in the Yankees 1999 World Series win.

“When I grow up, I want to be…”
…older, wiser, more present, more fun, and be for others what they need.
