How long have you been at Norfolk Academy?
I have been at Norfolk Academy for 25 years.

Tell us why you wanted to become an educator:
I wanted to be a teacher because I had such awesome teacher-coaches when I was in high school. Kevin Sims, Tom Duquette, Gary Laws, Elbert Watson, and John Tucker all served as role models to me.

What most excites you about working at Norfolk Academy?
I am most excited and motivated by two things: the quality of the students I teach and the awesome care and professionalism of my colleagues.

I am currently reading The Plague by Albert Camus

What do you like to do in your own time/when you’re not working?
I enjoy traveling with my family, attending sporting events of my children and students, and watching Premier League soccer (especially the Tottenham Hotspurs).

Favorite food?
My favorite dishes are Rigatoni Piccanti and my grandmother’s spaghetti and crabs.

A movie is being made about your life.  Who would they cast to play you?
Bill Murray

Fun fact your students might not know about you/might find surprising?
I attended 21 Ramones concerts in high school and college.
