Henry Trinder '16 Wins Award as English Major at NYU

Henry Trinder ’16, a sophomore majoring in English at New York University, received the Michael L.Owen Prize for demonstrating “exceptional ability” in his major.

The award was presented in May at the College of Arts and Science Dean’s Awards Reception.

Trinder, who took creative writing during his senior year at Norfolk Academy, including a second semester course on Irish writers, will be studying this summer for several weeks at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Throughout his time at NYU, he has been writing poetry, and he recently participated in a poetry reading for a new literary magazine at the university, West 10th.

As the Irish would say, “Comhghairdeas!” or, as the English (and Americans) put it, “Congratulations!”
